1 DEC: #ChristmasStories from the Middle East - Yolande Knell, BBC Middle East Correspondent “Palestinians in Bethlehem have begun to decorate a Christmas tree in front of the Nativity Church but this year’s celebrations are overshadowed by almost daily clashes nearby between local youths and Israeli soldiers. Bethlehem is much more subdued than normal for this time of year. Today there's news that another teenager from the area has been shot and killed by Israeli forces allegedly for attempting to stab a Jewish settler.
