17 NOV: The Eiffel Tower has been reopened. At the request of Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo the structure was lit in the colours of the French national flag in tribute to the victims of 13 November terror attacks which killed at least 129 people. The illumination, together with a projection of the city’s motto "Fluctuat nec Mergitur" onto the deck of the 1st floor, will continue for three days.
